WHX?? 48,834 #56 Posted November 6, 2020 (edited) All horses are required to be properly sheltered and fed non ethanol fuel. Exceptions will be made where non ethanol fuel is not available. Tarps over said horses are acceptable providing A} I've run out of barn. B} Tarp is of adequate coverage to exclude UV tire rot, rain, snow or mice. Useage of cats is highly encouraged in this situation. Horse maintenance shall be IAW all applicable and appropriate manuals. Sailman 1,291 #57 Posted November 6, 2020 It is perfectly acceptable and even encouraged to have a dedicated wheel horse for each individual task; one for just the mower, a different one for the push blade, another one with the 3 pt hitch for the plow and tilling attachments.... That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Wife agrees.
squonk 41,165 #58 Posted November 6, 2020 During normal working hours (I know nobody works) it will be prudent for the collector to scope out restaurants and diners along with horses along the byways. So when SWMBO wants to spend some quality time with you on a nice day you say “ how about lunch at this neat diner I saw yesterday “ Where she’ll reply, “ Where is this tractor?” 1 2

Tuneup 1,433 #60 Posted November 6, 2020 Sorry gang, I don't use a data phone unless my work forces me to so am not up on the keyboard shortcuts that abuse the ability to understand - who is this single white male named BO who has a say in my tractor's wiring? Once we get past that, please add that, being that re-powers are permitted, a renaming to align with the repower (C-125 - C-165) is permitted, provided that the factory guideline is honored. FWIW IMHO, but YMMV. I am corruptible, sadly...
WHX?? 48,834 #61 Posted November 6, 2020 (edited) SWMBO = She Who Must Be Obeyed..... get with the program Tuneup It shall be permitted to appropriately rename customs and repo's. Example @Achto's 1045D. See illustration below. It shall also be permitted to call or name your tractors with any name your kids see fit. I'll let @pullstart and @PeacemakerJack run with that one! You really think I would let this thread wander off to the cellar without at least one !?!?! Edited November 6, 2020 by WHX24

ohiofarmer 3,276 #69 Posted November 9, 2020 (edited) 1. It shall be forthwith acceptable to reply "two" when asked how many wheel horses you own, unless the number of tractors exceeds 100. then the proper reply is 'three", as in triple digits.. 2. It is also acceptable to reply "i don't remember" when your better half asks how many you have. Politicians and criminals have used this answer in court for years 3. When you decide to break it to your wife how many horses you own , it is OK to list the various horsepower counting as one. per horsepower designation. [cuts mine in half] 4. It shall be perfectly acceptable for a Ohio Resident to rustle a horse from [that state to the North] except for the Big Game Day, unless Ohio State loses. Vaguely recall a flat place somewhere south of God’s Country... WHX?? 48,834 #74 Posted November 13, 2020 (edited) I just got busted for calling dibs on a tractor that @oldiron613 helped @pullstart score so an amendment to the dibs rule is required... Any member that so helps or assists and/or facilitates (hauling help) another member's score shall automatically have 1st dibs on said tractor. Succeeding dibs shall be honored by dibee (is that even a word ) in the order that dibs is received by said dibee. Hauling help is equal to first dibs. Example: when I picked up that 1045 for Ryan, I called 1st dibs. Hauled it 400+ miles total, well worth the dibs rights
