Tiller PTO speed

Weird question perhaps but would it be possible to tow a mower deck and run it off of the PTO using a setup similar to the one for rear tillers?  I've seen plenty of mowers you can tow that have their own engine(s) but one of my reasons for getting a WH was to eliminate having gas engines that are only used seasonally.

Thanks

Why not just use a WH mower deck under the tractor?

I do now and it works fine but I was watching a local farmer mowing some left over corn stalks. It looked like he had a 3 point hitch attached to good size mower that was shaft driven off the back of his tractor.  So it got me thinking that one might be able to "rig" up something similar using some of the rototiller parts. Might not be worth it but this is what happens when the "hamster jumps the wheel in my head"... ;-)
