ebinmaine 67,286 #1 Posted November 3, 2020 I'm going to mention a few names in this thread but if you folks know anybody who's close to this area or if you happen to be traveling through please do share the info... H. A. Mapes over on route 224 is now selling 90 octane NON-E gas right at the pump. Price this morning was $2.89 which is roughly HALF what the airports are selling 100+ octane for. Mostly to satisfy my own curiosity I'm going to check with management when I get time because I know it's been pretty much a nightmare to get non-ethanol fuel here in Maine unless you own an airplane. @JCM @WheelhorseBob @Stepney 2

Some of you are likely aware that ethanol is prohibited in airplanes by the FAA. I'm very curious to know how this station got a hold of it...

WheelhorseBob 1,549 #5 Posted November 4, 2020 Rural areas around the country can sell non-e. In N.H. everywhere above the notches sell it. Below the Notches, Ossipee and Wakefield have it. Sanford Me. And Wakefield NH are about the same for me.

Might want to check the price where you've been going. This is the Lowest I've ever seen non ethanol. 2 hours ago, jabelman said: Just about any local small airport should sell non ethanol fuel For whatever governmental reason you'd like to use we haven't been able to get it that easily. There are only 2 airports in all of southern Maine that were selling it. One of those required a tail number for each sale. Both of those places sell 108/110 octane which is $6 to nearly $9 per gallon depending on time of year.
