Snowblower attachment question

I am looking at a 6-6211 snowblower attachment for sale which was apparently the model number for The Raiders, Chargers, and the GT-14 for the 1969 model year. Does anyone know if this will fit a 1976 B-80? Please let me know.

Welcome to the forum.

Back in the day that snowthrower came in two packages.

The 6-6211 was the basic unit and the second package provided what was needed to attach to certain models of tractor.

The Chargers and Raiders required the 6-9111, 6-9112 or 6-9113 kit for the long frame models.

I believe the 1976 B-80 is a long frame tractor and has a front quick hitch.

The 6-6211 may still mount using a long bolt and two bushings through the front of the tractor frame.

Hopefully some one will chime in to verify this is correct.

Here is a list of all on them for the long frame tractors

Snowthrower DNA

All have 2 idler sprockets for the drive chain. Started out as 37" wide and the added wings make them 42" wide.

1966-67 model ST-376

1968 model 6-1211

1969 6-6211 plus 6-9111

1970-72 model 6-6212 plus 6-9112

All without front quick hitch so not a direct fit for 1973 and later tractors. Snowthrower rear frame mounts in the front of the tractor frame using 2 bushings and a long 3/8-16 x 8-1/2" bolt.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Front quick hitch introduced. Snowthrower rear frame has a 5/8" diameter round bar.

1978 model 86-42ST01 - and this one

1979 model 96-42ST01 - and this one plus 1980 may be all the same. They started using a different model number for each model year.

1980 model 06-42ST01 - (Last 42" model to use 4 grooved rollers for the chute)

1981-82 model 06-42ST02 - (First model to use plastic collar for the chute but was a retrofit for older models. Last model to use wheels)

I think there were three mounting kits for these blowers.  One used the front guick hitch, one used the long bolt and bushings thru the two holes in the frame.   Either of these should work on your B-80.     The third  mounting kit was for a GT and I am not sure how it differed from the other two kits.
