I dont know about a cab. I'm getting burned out.

You've done a lot in little time!  And been a good sport with some teasing, too.

I'll predict that you will be tickled and motivated when the snow flies soon!

Just an observation, do you think they are big enough? Hard to tell from pic but perhaps cover more to the rear and make them wider?

Thats one helluva pinch point...

As I sit on it i can't make my feet go that far back so I think I am good there. As far as width. I think with the side pieces I will be ok. There is a decent amount of room once the screws are mounted. Its going to be like a meat grinder so the more room in there the better. Hope I never find out

Still having builders block. Having a hard time making seat mounts that fit this build. The seat location and height works really well just cant leave the paint can there. Anyone wanna throw some ideas at the wall to see what sticks?

Simple metal “box” (think milk crate) that hinges at front with seat as the top...?

:twocents-02cents:

Looking at that latest picture I continue to think you should consider added foot guard area... with the screws turning “in” for forward it will create an instant grab and drag for any loose clothing etc... I would have complete cover over the screws adjacent to seat and leg area...

Just my :twocents-02cents:... your skills are amazing... just want you to keep all your parts...

I just had the seat sitting on a couple of ammo cans. It just didnt look rite. I know what you mean thou. Also trying to keep the weight down as well. As far as the foot rest area goes there is articulation to keep in mind as far as width. Length well my thought on that is. It's a big  meat grinder "gas powered" if anything gets in the pinch point between the screw and the foot rest it will stay there till it gets past the foot rest. With the short foot rest I have a short pinch point. There is a 4in gap between the screw and running board but then there is 12in between the screw and the frame behind the running board. A release point from the jaws of death if you will. I appreciate your concern greatly, just trying to keep that pinch point to a minimum.

First thing I thought of was a really stiff vehicle coil spring.

I feel it needs to be an open mount for some reason.

Pile of telephone books?

6 pillows?

Plastic school chair?

Pieces of chain welded into lightning bolt?

Small crankshaft?

Neighbor's cat/dog/rooster?

Built-in composting toilet?

I agree, i think it should be quite basic in construction.

Car spring to stiff

Phone books. They still make those??

The wife might get pi$$ed if I took her pillows.

School chair. I have one and maybe

Welded chain. Too Gas Monkey Garage lol

Crankshaft. To Junkyard Empire lol

Neighbors cat/dog/rooster. They keep things pretty tight after the BBQ grill and boat fenders LMAO Although I have a couple rooster I could get rid of.

Built in composting toilet. Hmmmm now that is something to ponder.

Handy Don

Only thing I can add is to suggest it might be a bouncier/rougher ride than a WH. Something to brace the operator? What comes to mind are sport seats that grip you a bit.

Seat belt and everything!

A bit of back support  and/or side support may not be a bad thing

Tried one of these and gotta say it was darned comfy. If I had to do hours of seat time I'd be looking for something like this.

I like the "couple of bars" idea.  Maybe a cooler with hot chocolate between the bars?  Seriously I'd use that space for something, maybe a tool kit?

And maybe a secure seat belt!

I wrote "maybe"!  Don't have to use it!

(I did think about having the option of jumping before I wrote that...)

Start off slow and gentle before you try to break it.

So here is what I came up with once I peeled it off the wall. 🤔 Fairly simple, functional and light weight.

Hey guys I have been given a box of these flap wheels.
      5.25" x 1.5" with a 1" arbor hole.
I instantly thought great I can put one on my bench grinder.
      Nope!    Not that simple.
The arbor size is different, and it's to wide to fit inside the the guard.
I thought of removing the guard but would like to have it there.
I guess I could make an arbor adapter and a spacer for the guard, and a new tool rest, etc. More time involved then first thought.

Does anyone use these, and if so what do you have it on?

Hello fellas. I bought this 211-3 tractor. I have no clue how this mower deck comes off. I need to fix some areas on the deck, as well as replace a clutch cable. I can't seem to find pictures of a complete deck for this model as it should be. Need help.

Let's see your view from your workplace "window". I know some are driving truck,or tractor, work in shops/offices or outdoors. What is it that surrounds you during your work day?

I've had some stuff laying around for a while now. I've had some ideas kicking around my head for a while as well.
Well they met each other a few days ago.
This is going to be a camp buggy of sorts.
Like any of my other builds I would appreciate any input anyone want to donate.

The base is an 1982-88 Yamaha G1 golf cart.
