Just a little bazaar!

The Tuul Crib

Sitting outside my shop this afternoon I'm gassing up above and noticed this line of cloud passing by it stayed perfectly straight and didn't change much for at least 15 minutes. Just seemed a little odd :confusion-confused:

No witches in my neighborhood that l know of! Most contrails will spread
out and dissipate. This kept its shape

for 15 minutes

Depending on the wind, altitude, temp and humidity contrails can keep their shape for along time before dissipating. Back in the early 60's when they were flying the B-52 Stratofortress out of Eglin AFB down here those contrails could keep their shape for well over an hour. It was awesome to see after 6 or 7 of them flew over. It happened during the colder (well what we call colder) months. In the mid to late 60's those gunships flying out of Hulbert Field AFB did the same thing, they still fly out from there but don't leave contrails like they us to.

That all makes a lot of sense. But I still think it was odd because I didn't hear a thing flyover. Maybe there after my horses!
