Has anyone ever successfully removed and reused the plastic knob for the hood latch? It says they are still available to order, but I have been fooled before.

I've had them come off, and reglued them with super glue, seems to be still holding up well.  Glen Pettit was selling them at one point. Not sure if he still has them or if he's able to make more

I am tearing own the C-141. I am making a legend of all the wiring, and where each individual wire goes. I have seen a wiring diagram for this tractor, and have it saved on my computer, but it doesn't match my wiring. Is there another wiring diagram available?

With the current 3d printer technology, seems like this would be an easy piece to reproduce.  Woulden't be a very tough one to model in CAD either.

I did manage to find another wiring diagram that matches my tractor. I find it interesting that they show a black cable running from the battery + side to the solenoid, and from the other side of the solenoid to the starter. Is this factory correct? I like to do things as they were done originally, but this seems odd.

It's likely that all of the heavy battery cables were made from black wire.

My 1994 520H has a black wire on each battery post.

The red rubber boot/ cover helps to show it as a positive (+) wire.

Wheel Horse tractors are of the finest quality, but they weren’t known for spending the most money to build them!  Likely, black was cheaper in more bulk than red.
