Next thing you know you will be skipping alternating line and doing a basket weave.          :laughing-rolling:           Nice work there.       :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Beautiful work. Many years ago I checkered an old plain gunstock.  It didn't look anywhere near as perfect as your work.

Might we be seeing some wood inlays on your Wheelhorses!

Thank you. I actually like to do the fish scaling rather than the basket weave. It all depends on what it goes on.

Thank you. Gunstocks are more difficult. Its on the round and diamonds need to be much smaller and come to a point on top. On a tool however they would get destroyed quickly from being knocked around a bit.

What tool is this one?  Planer by chance?  Either way, beautiful work!

Thank you. It’s a specialty plane used for the first step in dressing rough lumber. Essentially a special rabbet plane. For now it’s the flagship of the latest fleet. The others are stippled each a little different. Two more to do. I might just do some basket weaving and fish scaling on the last two @953 nut

That's one down, Cas. How any more to go now? ;)

That is actually five down. Two more in this batch although I might leave one plain without any checkering or stippling.

Would you mind a small video of the work?  Especially seeing it be cut around the curvature?
