Pullstart 63,204 #1 Posted October 28, 2020 So, @PeacemakerJack and I took a chance on these 27x7.50-12’s last weekend and they performed like monsters! I just ordered another set of them, but in the 10” wide fashion. I tubed and filled mine and haven’t weighed them, but have extreme traction. For my 7.5’s, I used a set of wheels (5” wide?) off an original 6-12 setup. I’ll likely use 7” wheels on the 10’s and fluid fill them the same. As for what to put them on? The 1054 “Joe” that I brought to plow day just needed a set of 1-1/8” hubs swapped from a 12” wheel tractor and we were in business! The best part about these tires is the price! Well other than the traction they offer, of course. I found a few deals on eBay for a little over $220 for the pair shipped. 5
Pullstart 63,204 #2 Posted October 28, 2020 I imagine if need be, a set of 12” weights can also be added. I’m not sure how necessary they are, but more weight is always better! These also seem to stick out more with the 5 lug hubs and the 12” wheels, I am considering a 6 speed swap with shorter axles to bring them inboard a tickle. 7
Pullstart 63,204 #3 Posted October 28, 2020 For anyone unsure of the Interco name, think mud trucks. These are designed by side by side UTV’s, but I imagine the quality in the name is just the same.

They are definitely known for their mud truck tires. 1

It's funny that after all these different tread patterns the tire manufacturers have come up with, the simple ag design still reigns supreme in the mud. Only drawback is they are not D.O.T compliant or at least they never used to be.

I believe the Bogger is the most supreme DOT rated mud tire, because of their paddle / bar like tread.

Been many moons since I've processed the thought but I think it's something to do with the percentage of rubber touching the road when they're on a hard surface. Note the fact that their road tires have what effectively amounts to an extra set of bars in between the ones that were on a standard AG tire. If or when that rule changes or relaxes you'll see AGS on the street.

Back in the day it was monster mudders and ground hawgs and 40s were the biggest. Now it's 54s. 11 minutes ago, ebinmaine said: Been many moons since I've processed the thought but I think it's something to do with the percentage of rubber touching the road when they're on a hard surface. I take my ags out on the street but with a tractor 😝
Pullstart 63,204 #9 Posted October 28, 2020 Found it, April 7 I mentioned these!
sqrlgtr 554 #10 Posted October 28, 2020 I bet that bar and a half tread will ride alot smoother on hard surface at least been my experience on larger tractors .

Just modify you plow hitch to line up with the existing width.

Pullstart 63,204 #14 Posted November 1, 2020 The 10” tires showed up! For reference, the 7” tires have a 7” wide tread pattern while on the 4 or 5” wide rim. The 10” tires have a 9-1/4” tread width not on wheels. There is zero air pressure in the 7” set, just fluid filled and pressurized as much as my 1/4” drill pump could do and me attempting minimal loss core swapping. Pullstart 63,204 #17 Posted November 2, 2020 Yeah, there are various sizes Lee, but for my intentions the 27’s are perfect!
Pullstart 63,204 #18 Posted November 6, 2020 I mounted up the 27x10-12 tires last night, they are significantly larger than the 27x7.50-12’s! I think once fluid filled, I’ll be plenty butt heavy! As far as height goes, keep in mind the skinnies have only fluid pressure from a 1/4” transfer pump inside, zero air pressure.
