Charbs152 254 #1 Posted October 25, 2020 (edited) Question...why is my lift bar rubbing on the grease zerk on my mower? Does the lift bar chain need to hook to that other hole? What about that bar at the back of the mower circled in green? The mower is off and the snowblower is on. rick 233 #6 Posted October 25, 2020 I added a washer between the deck piece and the hairpin clip that goes through the mounting pin. It pulled the lift away from the grease fitting. I've never seen a mount pin that didn't have a hole for the hairpin clip, but there is no telling what PO's leave off their machines... 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Lee1977 6,648 #7 Posted October 25, 2020 (edited) When the old C-series were built they didn't have a hole for a hairpin or greaseable spindles. The top greaseable spindles came out in the 80's. I changed my double-d to the 3/4 keyed and later to metric spindles. I do the same a Ed by replacing the grease fitting with a set screw as it is almost imposable to grease that spindle unless the deck is off.
