You'll probably be able to just pick that stuff out of there with a unfolded paperclip or something but it would be a lot better to remove it from the fuel pump and clean it out with a small wire brush or q-tip Most likely will be usable once cleaned 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
AHS 1,440 #30 Posted October 29, 2020 I have a Wheelhorse dealer about 10 miles away, that I am thankful for!! You know what I love about Wheelhorse? They used the same parts for approx 30 years... like the gas tank grommet and shut off valve. I know you can get generic. But the WH dealer had them! I am gonna get the gas tank on it with brand new line... and put the battery in it...tonight! I am still waiting on the carb rebuild kit. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

AHS 1,440 #33 Posted October 30, 2020 My gas tank was dry, and my carb was in a cardboard box inside! 👍 the only thing I have to worry about is.. the coil, the fuel pump and the voltage regulator! It came with an extra voltage regulator.... question is what’s going to happen if it needs a voltage regulator? I’ve never replaced one of those before... AHS 1,440 #38 Posted October 31, 2020 I put a battery in the B80 for the first time.. turned the key... nothing. I took a piece of emery cloth to the ground strap, and tried a new key switch (which I had), jumped the clutch switch... nothing.. I’m pretty sure it’s the selenoid. AHS 1,440 #40 Posted November 2, 2020 Ok, I installed a used starter today, it is a WH starter. Not much wiggle room in the starter. I turned the starter by hand and it engaged to the flywheel. AHS 1,440 #41 Posted November 3, 2020 I got it to turn over!! You know what’s different about a 3 and 4 post solenoid? A 4 post has the ground. A 3 post just relies on the frame for grounding. Ok can some one show me, with a picture, what the linkage rod looks like installed on a B80 from the gov rod to the carb? I dunno if I have it right side up or what! Oh, I’ve been eating to ask you guys, the factory switch’s that’s go at the clutch panel and the PTO lever.... I’m looking to keep them. Where can I find them?
