The rod connects up through the bottom at blade end. Here is a shot from an owner manual.

SEVEN,  follow the directions above , a detail would be to add flat washers to reduce the wobbly fit , use a hairpin clip cotter pin, never sieze the pin hole , and grease the " steering quadrant  " with grease for easy movement , along with lever movement points , should move smooth and easy , pete

Don't use a spring pin at the rear. I did and it got knocked out. No problem going ahead - just dragged the rod. When I backed up the rod went down into the ground about 2 feet in a perfect C-shape. Had to disconnect the rod to move the tractor so I could dig out the rod.

It now has a cotter pin.

seven, found using  2 , milk crates to elevate and support the plow and frame set up , is the best way to service it . the elevation lets you move around it , and verify function and improvements , adding washers and lubrication at all movement points . by the way , use the 1/8 " hair pin clips on the rear frame mount area holes , lubricate them and push thru till they are on the curved ring part , ensuring they won't fall out.  you should be able to verify , smooth and easy ( steering quadrant ) function as well as lever rod operation while up on those milk crates . if it moves smoothly and easily on the crates , that's how it will  work on your tractor ,  just my own experience, pete
