Kevinm 23 #1 Posted October 15, 2020 I have a 520H. Are all the mule drives the same size?
roadapples 6,983 #2 Posted October 15, 2020 No. The one for 60" deck is different.
Ed Kennell 38,028 #4 Posted October 15, 2020 The 60" deck requires the special spring loaded mule drive to maintain belt tension. I do believe any regular mule drive would work on the 42 and 48" decks.
c-series don 8,668 #6 Posted October 16, 2020 I know there’s a different one for the 60” but I’ve been running a 60” deck on my 416-H for years with no trouble. I’m not sure what the difference is and why it’s necessary?

I have special memories of some amazing Springers.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #8 Posted October 16, 2020 The basic mule for some of the 37" side discharge 2-blade decks is also the same but use two V-pulleys and a 6-sided belt instead of the more common one flat idler and one V-idler with a 4-sided belt.
