Dakota8338 115 #1 Posted October 4, 2020 I have a Yanmar YM240D 4-wheel drive tractor with a factory front end loader & backhoe. Looking through Craigslist recently (actually during the middle of August) I found an advertisement for a Kobuta 240 tractor. Yes., I realize Kubota was misspelled, but the photo was of a Yanmar 240 Tractor. Knowing where the tractor was located, at least according to the advertisement, I drove by and parked across the street and using binoculars I looked the tractor over fairly thoroughly. (It was where it said it was.) I waited until the end of September before actually contacting the seller, and went to see it. The seller had the YM240D Yanmar Tractor (a two wheel version) with a five foot woods finish mower advertised for $1,850. For its age the tractor had the normal scratches, but it still looked good and was wearing good rear rubber, with new tires on the front. The owner started the tractor, it sounded good, lifted the mower as normal, then he actuated the PTO for the mower and the PTO appeared to engage and function under the load adequately, so I asked what would he take for the tractor & mower "today?" I was hoping for $1,650, possibly $1,600 & at the very best maybe $1,500. I was shocked, amazed & almost over came with joy, when the seller said $1,100. I tried to regain my composure and started to counter with, "What about a thousand?" Realizing the tractor & mower was a bargain at eleven hundred dollars, I purchased the unit. Not only do I have another tractor for work, I have a spare parts tractor, for everything except the four wheel drive components. After having and using it for a month now, it needs new battery cables, which is not uncommon on older equipment. It has the very light cables, so I purchased the heavy duty cables and over winter I will replace the cables, but for right now it can use what is on it. It also needs a new seal around the PTO shaft where it exits from the tractor & a screen ahead of the radiator. Someone removed the old screen, or it wore out and was never replaced. When I order a new seal, I will also include a new screen for the radiator. Over winter those odds & ends will be accomplished, so come spring the Yanmar will be ready to rumble right on down the lane, regardless of towing, mowing or doing other tasks about the place.

Dakota8338 115 #3 Posted October 4, 2020 Just to be sure, I went back & re-read the posting photo's tutorial. We don't place photo's on any of the various public storage sites, don't use facebook, twitter,or any of those things either. As I understand the tutorial, I can not post a photo without using a public storage site, so the direct answer to your question is, there are no photo's available.
