Sickle Bar knife bars or knife backs #2235

I have posted several sickle bar mower and cutter bar mower parts sources on Red Square as I have owned one of every type of Wheel Horse sickle bar mowers over the years.  
 

I still have a 50 inch sickle bar mower made for the 953/1054 frame, a CBR-327 made for the 701 wheel horse (but could be used on several other models, and a CB-32 front cutter bar mower used on the RJ’s and Suburbans.   I have also owned other 42 and 50 inch Wheel horse sickle mowers along with several 42 inch versions and a Haban 414 model made for Wheel Horse tractors.

 

I was surprised to learn the other day from John Webb of Webb Cutting Components of Nebraska the not only do they sell two inch replacement knife blades that fit all the Wheel Horse sickle and front cutter bar mowers and 7/32 x 1/2 inch rivets, they also sell new drilled knife backs or knife bars for replacing your knife section.  Now the 42 and 50 inch sections will have to have the end block (where the bolt goes isn’t to the wobble box pivot) rewelded on the end but the 32 knife back bar is an easier replacement.  
 

I do not have a cost or price for shipping one of these but I will be checking next week with John Webb.  He indicated the knife back would be drilled and ready for reassembly which you would have to do yourself with the new blades and rivets.

 

I just replaced all the blades on my 32 inch chain drive CBR-327 front cutter bar. I would like to get another 32 inch knife section made to allow it to be used in my RJ -32 front cutter bar as a replacement  that has new sharp blades.
