Metal detecting, history, colonial home sites, beautiful forests, watch this video.

Can't remember how but I found this guy on the YouTube channel a couple three weeks ago and I've been enjoying the videos. He's in southern New Hampshire somewhere so he's located between one and three hours from me. Doesn't specify where so he can preserve the sites.

I think I've watched maybe four or five videos and he takes a minute to point out where a house may have been or a wall or an animal pen or whatever...

Some pretty interesting stuff.

Thats cool stuff, we used to do a lot of bottle digging and metal detecting, hard to find places anymore.

I took the old man's metal detector out a week or 2 ago I dropped a bolt in the lawn. ( We have a big family property) ,   I got a good ring and dug up a ww2 50 cal shell case.  The old man remembered playing with the shell casing from when he was kid back in the 50s and must have hammered it into the ground.  It was a neat find for him

And no never found the bolt I lost.

I went around my wood pile a few days ago and found 17 coins.  All were about 45 year old pennies.  Not gonna help my retirement much.  I guess my son is still a problem to me after all these years.

Make him do the metal detecting and you keep the finds.

I don't have much control over him since he is 53 years old now.

There is an old foundation in the woods behind the wood pile that belongs to the neighbor, I hoped to find some treasures on my side and the repeated hits gets the heart pumping.  I found the coins on both sides of the wood for a distance of about 50 feet.

I had metal detectors for many years and now I am taking a renewed interest.  Just today, a pinpointer arrived in the mail.
