Retired Wrencher 5,442 #1 Posted September 21, 2020 Found this up in the hill country from an older gentleman. He had for years hardly used it. It was under storage area on pea stone floor. It has a lot of surface rust but the tub has no holes. The tires are original with dust caps also W/Horse logo and saw tooth tires. Pretty cool. I am thinking late 60`s early 70`s. No I.D. tag any ware. I was going roll some paint on but decided to just use Marvel on it to preserve the meatal. I hope you enjoy the picks. 5 6

WHX?? 48,795 #3 Posted September 21, 2020 (edited) Nice find and my favorites. They sure must have made a zillion of those tubs as we see alot of them around here. all different patinas all different prices. Some sellers claim they are really rare and upwards of 200 but I think not. I got a couple of nice ones for 50 and my go to tubs. Tag would have been in the front below the WH decal. Anybody know what they went for new at a dealer in the day? peter lena 8,583 #4 Posted September 21, 2020 retired wrencher, nice pick up on that , i would love to find one near by. agree with you totally on the mmo application , i regularly feed neglected metal with oil to preserve / and save it. just about any oil applied will start to creep into a stain of protection , i find that just the change of the look of neglect , makes a difference. get oil on every part of it , and leave it in the sun , to heat up and suck in the lubricant. that is the start of saving this. btw , just about any oil will do as you start doing this , pete

I poured the MMO all over letting it sink in especially on the inside of the tub. More picks to come.
