WheelhorseBob 1,549 #1 Posted September 20, 2020 I finally got my 520H back together. I ended up repainting all the tin - the hood. I replaced most fasteners, electrical connectors and fuel lines. All fluids/filters changed and a new Voltage regulator. Just turned 320hrs, can’t wait to mount the 44” snow blower. BTW I’ll paint the hood next year. 5
AMC RULES 37,144 #2 Posted September 20, 2020 Your refresh looks great, assume the seat is new too...could you share your source/link here please? Ty.
WheelhorseBob 1,549 #3 Posted September 20, 2020 No the seat is original. The original owner kept it indoors. Unfortunately the guy I bought it from left it out for a time, albeit in the shade under a pine tree. Seat pan and floor boards were rusting and I replaced the chrome air cleaner but the seat is original. I did shine it up a bit though....
peter lena 8,960 #4 Posted September 20, 2020 WHEELHORSEBOB, nice looking piece there , bob , that 320 hr figure is the deal, to virtually have a new horse , in todays plastic / die cast aluminum world is epic. i also like the added vent holes in the rear belt guard area . the meguiars ceramic detailer , makes your paint glow , very good job on that , thank you for saving another one, pete

WheelhorseBob 1,549 #7 Posted September 21, 2020 Vent holes are 1.5” each. My take on getting more cooling. We’ll see.
peter lena 8,960 #8 Posted September 21, 2020 wheelhorsebob, i have used the " 303 AEROSPACE PROTECTANT , MARINE RECREATIONAL " on anything vinyl or rubber for years, often experimenting with meguiars cleaners to cut thru a dull paint . those vent holes will definitely help out , the first " kohler twin i recovered " had a large " W SHAPED GRASS WRAP " under the air intake side if the cooling shroud, it actually came off intact in shape . you are doing a great job , keep it going , pete
