Ratchet strap material ?

Recommended Posts

Digger 66

Googled with no concrete results .

Anyone know where I can get my hands on a roll of 1 1/2 " webbing ?

I want to modify 2 ratchet straps I bought .

I really like the hook ends as one swivels sna both have the tangs that snap back in place after you clip them on .

The ratchet mechanism is very heavy-duty too but the strapping material itself is very slippery and likes to stretch and come unwound  .

Is this for your own trailer or a commercial one?

Here in Maine either way MUST have a WLL tag...

Let us know how heavy the material is. My older straps are twice as thick as the new ones I see for sale.   Thanks

I will for sure .

Going to do a how-to stitch your own with pictures .

I have modified several straps so far .

All of the ones available are much too long on the ratchet side and need to be shortened .
