under the hoodstand on c175H, removing and reinstall of a leaky hydraulic main valve unit - ( and or hoses or O rings )  -- nightmare -- many bleeding knuckles

One job that I did that gave me fits was removing the rubber engine mounts and replacing with solid mounts on my C-161. Fought me the whole time. Was well worth the struggle after it was completed.

Pulling the hydro pump on D series.  I swear that at the WH factory they had a guy hold a hydro pump and then built the tractor around it

Removing anything on a horse that has spent it's hold life out side.

The hardest thing to do with a Wheel Horse is load it back on the trailer at the end of the Big Show.

Unless it is a new acquisition!

Certainly the messiest is rebuilding the transmission.

"IF"  you can give it a good flushing before teardown makes it less of a mess and doesn't smell as bad either.

Not that I am approaching 75 ever closer -the hardest job is now getting ON and GETTING OFF the Wheel Horse  (no matter which one) without physical injury!

ON is not a problem for this old guy Lane.   But...getting off I find I have to put more strain on the steering wheel than I like to get my rear up off the seat.

Actually thinking of putting barrier free grab bars on the C-105 fenders... :scared-eek:

I'm finding this little :wh: is very ergonomic in that regard...

I'm on the downhill side of approaching 80 and can identify with your mount and dismount issue Lane. Last show I attended I got on and off one of my 953s a dozen or more times, it was quite a workout. So far the 310-8 and 418-C aren't a big difficulty but I have to agree with @SylvanLakeWH, the electric A-60 is very ergonomic and well suited to senior Wheel Horsemen.

Not sure if there is a trick to doing them I tried doing them one at a time. Then I think I managed when I did two at a time. Struggled the whole time.

That is why my chore tractor with all the ons and offs is a Lawn Ranger.  Mounting an demouting on it is much easier on the old joints than her big brothers...

The round hood are terrific for on/off as long as there is no mower deck under there.

I haven't found myself in too many difficult scenarios, other than not having enough $$$, however, for me the most difficult part of any Wheel Horse is selling them.  I regret selling a very nice C195 and C175 a few years ago.  But I will always have my first Wheel Horse, and have for the last 31 years.

Agree 100% on that. And you have a big block that is even worse.
