Achto 27,504 #1 Posted September 18, 2020 I'm currently at war with the moles in my yard again. I don't know how many pounds of grub killer that I dumped on my lawn this summer trying to make sure that the moles did not have any thing to eat. Plus I've been feeding the moles poison for about a month now. Traps are all but useless, so I devised this little treat for them. A C141 Mole killer. Let 'em suck on some carbon monoxide for a while. If this don't work the next step may be acetylene and an ignition source. Hee Hee Hee. 1 5

Is that the plan.... he he he 1
Achto 27,504 #7 Posted September 18, 2020 (edited) Instead of acetylene it looks like LP may work just as well. Edited September 18, 2020 by Achto 3

Pullstart 62,791 #16 Posted September 19, 2020 Just get some chickens. They don’t really do anything but puff up funny when the mole starts digging under them. Still fun to watch!

It's been going very well. It's been a year and a half now and they are just getting into their first molt. Feathers all over the place. We have a half a dozen co-workers between Trina and I that have been buying them once in awhile which supplements the food bill.

I live rural so there's no ordinance about that but I bought a 22 caliber pellet gun so I could be a little more kind to the neighbors period works quite well....
Goldnboy 910 #23 Posted September 19, 2020 This reminds me of all the ways we tried to kill rats that made tunnels under the corn crib.. poison, tractor fumes, and my favorite fireworks! July 4th was a special day of war with smoke bombs, Roman candles, bottle rocks etc sometimes a rocket would come flying out and Dad was aways ready like clint Eastwood with a pistol for the runways.... 3
Pullstart 62,791 #24 Posted September 19, 2020 My lawn has been known to get some squiggly marks from chasing a newly discovered mole, mouse or otherwise... it’ll grown back, it’ll get striped another time!

Hee Hee Hee Do this about every 10 sq ft until the entire yard is done, maybe a few feet into the neighbor's yard too, just to make sure. Spread a little grass seed after you're done and you're good to go. A yard roller might be good to knock down some of the higher spots but it's unnecessary.
