WHX?? 49,147 #1 Posted September 14, 2020 Another show here that did not get cancelled. Not a good start right off the bat for me as I buried the truck & camper in the mud pulling in. Dan @Achto came to the rescue with the Cockshutt 30 and got me out. Sorry no pic of that! Rain Rain and more Rain kept the crowds away untill Sunday when it was nice and we had to pack up. What's worse is the grounds trafiic turned everything to mud. Had to feel sorry for the club as the truck & tractor pulls were a big money maker for them but the track was unusable so crowd turnout was very poor. We still managed to have a good time! IH was the feature. 4
WHX?? 49,147 #2 Posted September 14, 2020 (edited) Our line up.... Dan double tripped so he had a nice herd there! Including Terrance (silver belt guard) which probably has never been to a show before! I gotta get a trailer with an exposed spare just to get one of these covers! Dan's got one on his hauler too! We had plows and may have had a crack at turning some dirt Sunday morning but this bad boy even had problem in the bottoms! This guy has an incredible collection of laundry machines! What's not to like about hit and miss stuff! Lots of it here given the poor weather. One thing I like most about them is the sound they have... not unpleasant like some strait pipe monsters bellowing! @Coulter Caleb made a guest appearance now that he has a DL and some wheels! Dad @PeacemakerJack was MIA! He wanted to bring a but the old man said no..... maybe out of the club for that one! I'll take a break here and see if Dan got any I'm sure he got some of our line up. Then it's on to the nite life pics! Edited September 14, 2020 by WHX24 3 8
Achto 27,748 #3 Posted September 14, 2020 (edited) This show is been struggling for a bit so I like to bring as many exhibits as I can. This year I took 7 , the Mclean & 2 Cockshutt's. Also helped my brother get 5 other farm tractors from the family collection and a bunch of his GT's hauled in. On Thurs. after I was pretty much set up I figured I'd send a message to Jim in a language that he would understand. The message must have gotten through because less than an hour later I was hooked on to his truck with my tractor getting him unstuck. Being a small show Jim covered a lot of the small exhibits already but I have a couple that he missed. Liquid sun shine was in abundance but we did get a few short breaks in the weather to throw some corn hole bags. We're not very good at it but we had fun. The Saturday night band is always a good time. Jim broke out his very best hat for the event. At one time the drummer asked to borrow Jim's hat saying "We don't need more cow bell, we need more bed pan". To tell ya the truth, it had a pretty good sound. Last song of the night the band said grab a partner, chair , broom ,shovel, tractor or what ever & get on the dance floor. My brother beat me out the door so I let him have fun with his tractor. Then there's always the guy who just can't handle all the excitement and has to sit down to do some "sturgeon spearing" Edited September 14, 2020 by Achto 5 3 1
WHX?? 49,147 #4 Posted September 14, 2020 Did you know the guy with the Economy Dan? Glad you got a pic sure was a nice old time piece! 41 minutes ago, Achto said: This show is been struggling for a bit I just hope the weather and turnout doesn't spell the end. 44 minutes ago, Achto said: grab a partner, chair , broom ,shovel, tractor or what ever So these guys from over fifty miles away DROVE ther tractors here. Yah you heard me drove them not trailered. One was a Cockshutt 30 with the wide front and one looked to be a Ford N model with a V-8 stuffed in it. One of the guys was a real fun lover and was dancing with everything from chairs to signs to coolers to hand trucks to bags of pellets to...... Course Dan's brother filling him with 'shine & apple cobbler didn't help! 3
