I fella should be able to "borrow" a neighbors grill to make some fenders.
Oldskool 6,658 #254 Posted October 8, 2020 Well no grill but someone is missing some boat fenders lmao. I'm thinking about 2in wider and leave about 1.5in of the tire sticking out. 1
Lee1977 6,889 #255 Posted October 8, 2020 I would just cut most of the out side lip off and leave that width.

Perhaps while you're out pilferizing the neighborhood you could Ummmmm "borrow" a second set...

Sure would make it easier to widen them. 3
Oldskool 6,658 #259 Posted October 9, 2020 I was working a couple of towns over today. Made several trips past this particular house but today, of coarse when I had the excavator in tow. I noticed some eye balls staring back at me. I'm pretty sure I saw a Horsey looking out at me. I may have to go wrangling this weekend. It kinda looked like a B model but didnt get a clear look. The head lights looked similar to my GT.
ebinmaine 69,075 #260 Posted October 9, 2020 1970 to about 79 or 80? Similar or same Hood. Five or six different models there at least. Keep us posted!

In 1974 and 1975 a B was just a little shorter than a C . Around 2- 3/4" I think. 1976 and 1977 the B series used the same frame and the differences were options like seats and steering wheel etc. B was also lower horsepower as an 8, available as a 10. C of course was 10 through 16. After this point the C lived on in different forms. The B became a vertical shaft tractor.

One more thought on the fenders - you going to shorten the lip on the outboard edge of the fenders a little? I've got a bad habit of grabbing the edge of the fender to shift around in the seat while I'm driving. Close fender to tire clearance is not good with habits like this.

Tink tink tinkity tink tink. Yes I am going to trim the fenders, I also use the fender as a push point. I'm also going to OVER build the brackets for that same reason. I cant stand the floppy fender look.

He had a couple more in the bushes. I think one was a Suburban. Oldskool 6,658 #271 Posted October 11, 2020 I had mentioned a couple of replies ago that I was feeling another build coming. I have 3 styles running thru my mind. I love the look of steel wheels but living in eastern Maine I'm thinking something for the snow. Kinda torn between the 2. Pictures are food for thought. I would still be building in the smaller scale 4

My grandfather ran half tracks for decades in the winter cutting pulp wood so I have a love for them too. And steel wheels are just COOL 1 1
