I tack welded a 4in pipe (which was the radius of the curve of the grille) to the welding bench. Then mapped it out with a tape measure and straight edge. All my bending jigs are something tacked to the bench or clamped in the vise Edited September 23, 2020 by Oldskool

I would love to have a slip roll, a shrinker/stretcher, an English wheel, planishing hammer and a brake someday but till then it's the low tech way

That‘s true handcraft. 👍 i also like the Hood removable in any Way for Service and maintaining Job‘s. I found it stylish in the Way it develops now. maybe 2 springloaded hood clamps to strap the hood down. another thing is the Steering shaft, what needs at least a bearing of plastic or similar. Keep up the great Work 2
Oldskool 6,658 #56 Posted September 23, 2020 Thanks @Tractorhead. I totally agree on the steering shaft bushing/bearing. I'm probably going to build a more rigid brace behind the piece that is there now 2
Oldskool 6,658 #57 Posted September 24, 2020 Still trying to figure out the hood conundrum. So figured I would start mocking up another part. 1

Tractorhead 9,065 #65 Posted September 26, 2020 (edited) If i interpret correct, i becomes a spoke steering wheel. triangular arrangement of 3 spokes each curious if I guessed the shape correctly. If so, than it will be a blast 👍 Edited September 26, 2020 by Tractorhead

It will be kind of like the old Banjo style steering wheel but this will be 3 groups of 3 spokes 1

Oldskool 6,658 #72 Posted September 27, 2020 Did some more sheet metal work today. Also finished up the stirrups, and some grinding on the steering wheel. I was hoping I would come up with a plan on the hood while working on other things. Nope! I havent.
