Stormin 9,981 #26 Posted September 12, 2020 Mine spend their time in the unheated workshop. Don't get the extremes of cold you lads get over in the U.S. Not had anything below -10c for a long time. All four tractors get started up at least once a month and maybe get a run out. Unleaded fuel and engines oil 10 - 40w. Tran's have EP90 in. Poison in loft in tamper proof box. BTW. Old photo'.

I have been a big fan of Pella Windows and doors. Well only because I'm partial and being from Iowa. Anyway I want to find a replacement door for one that I put in this house when I built it and just the door slab alone no hardware........ 2000! I even called the main office one day. Nice folks but they won't help me out!

Nice folks but they won't help me out! When we did this door I was working crazy hours ( old one was falling apart ) Long story short Home Depot had a door build/customizing tool on their website I could do everything right here on my PC . Over the course of weeks I'd spend hours on the phone between Home Depot -Clopay and the installer . Billing mistakes - opener mistakes/changes etc etc etc This is the second time I opted to do an improvement through a big box store and it will be the last .....1st time was carpet in bedrooms their installers were hogs threw skoal and beverage cans in our flower bed and front yard . After the orders in HD is just an unnecessary middleman and you're dealing with the manufacture and installer anyhow . What I thought was an easy way of replacing a door because of my hours was just the opposite . Turns out the easy way was just patching the old door until I had time to go to Alliance overhead door and avoid the big box store all together . .....hindsight

Nice folks but they won't help me out! I recall your mention of this in another previous thread. I was very impressed with Andersen when I inquired about replacement sashes and misc parts for the original Andersen sliders installed in our house in the early 50's. I was able to get double pane replacement sashes to replace the original single pane sashes. I just recently repainted the exterior frames, sashes, and sills after (unfortunately) years of neglect. The windows are exposed to full sun (south/southwest exposure) and (again unfortunately) parts were left exposed for many years without paint. Remarkably - the wood on the 70 year old window sills and frames although grey and weathered still intact for the most part. Bow_Extreme 544 #33 Posted September 22, 2020 I’m a little spoiled. I keep all my tractors in my pole barn. Winter I keep it at 55° or greater and summer is usually 75° or cooler. It’s heated and air conditioned.
