ebinmaine 67,415 #26 Posted September 13, 2020 I like @ZXT 's idea of combining the 2 carbs. I've had poor luck at best with aftermarket cheap carbs. I'll avoid buying another best I can. Isave's will likely be better. Keep us posted on the results and progress.
skippy1969 135 #27 Posted October 8, 2020 (edited) It’s looking great! I put a lot of hours on my neighbors Sovereign 3416H when I was growing up. They are great tractors. My dad bought this Broadmoor 728 brand new in 1972. He had it for many years and finally retired it about 10 years ago. Thats me riding on the tractor with him. Somebody went crazy with the welder and patches, so I will have to take the grinder and grind them down. Then sand and paint. This looks like a similar model to my Dad's Allis B-10 he bought new in 1964. My brother has it now and has done a partial restore on it. Mechanically it's completely sound and is still his daily driver. I wouldn't be surprised if the previous owner Frankensteined the deck because they couldn't find a replacement. My brother searched for a long time after years of patching. The sheet metal was probably all new by the time he finally found one. You know, like the old hammer trick. "I've had this hammer for 40 years! I've replaced the handle three times and the head twice."
