You will want a WIX 51410 or NAPE 1410 filter. If the oil in your transaxle is amber color then it is 10 - W- 30, if it is pink it is ATF.

I’ll have to look at it next time I go over there

Jon D 82 #31 Posted September 13, 2020 Both axles cleaned up and new keys installed with locktite 660. Also added a second set screw to each hub and used blue locktite on all the set screws. Next I’ll add new tires ( I think they’re the original ones from 1973) and get it back to my father-in-law.

I will, and for extra measure, I’m going to paint a black line across the hub to axle face to be able to monitor it. I’ll be keeping my eyes open for another transaxle to keep on hand. For a 1973, it looks pretty good and eventually will go to my daughter. 1 1
ebinmaine 68,330 #34 Posted September 13, 2020 That tractor looks fantastic! Be sure to keep the hydro clear of debris and also teach future owners the same. If you need to split the transmission in the future they're very easy to do. LOTS of information here on the site about them. I agree that it would be a good idea to have a couple extra axles on hand. Post a "wanted" ad in our classified section. Likely someone has a pair they'd part with. Or call Lincoln at A to Z.
