305 380 #1 Posted September 4, 2020 i saw this on that big online auction site we all know a 12 volt permanent magnet 20 amp alternator that was used on those green/yellow riding mowers. thinking of maybe trying to adapt to my 700 workhorse.....has anyone done this or know anything about them? it appears to need some sort of rectifier and/or voltage regulator. any advice or opinions welcome

Tractorhead 9,065 #4 Posted September 5, 2020 (edited) They beeing also used in the Kubota‘s b6000 Series and in few of the b7000 Series. Continouse Amp rating is measured between 15-18A - peak is @20A. This Alternators are not bad at all, but tends on too strong belt tension to wear out fast. On that Pict you shown is all included you need, except few Wires that be vehicle specific. Ah, forgotten ask urgently for the rect.regulator schematics, they can vary. i know 2 different connecting versions, they not be compatible but have same connector Layout.
