Oldcpecdr 255 #1 Posted September 4, 2020 (edited) So Are THREE B-80's a Trio or a Threesome ? Not sure what I was thinking but picked up yet another WH B-80 to add to the herd.... My C-100 8 speed, B-80 Hydro (2 of those) , and now a B-80 4 speed. It runs and works and just needs some general cleaning up....as usual I probably paid too much but $200 seemed ok for a running WH. Is the four speed transmission geared the same as an eight speed but in High Range, or did they use different rear end ratios as a compromise ? This is the first of FIVE that I have acquired that I could actually see the light tan original wheel color ... See if I can get it matched for spraying all 16 rims.... ouch that is going to be a pain !!!! Some pics attached, first pic as seen on Craigslist, then my horse hauler rig, and finally some pics before unloading. At this point I am glad I sold number five the 10-38 rear engine Toro/WH that never quite fit in . My wife aint gonna be happy.... BUT I AM .... Pullstart 62,790 #2 Posted September 4, 2020 Nice rig! I am not sure, but I believe that muffler is slightly rare. It’s a good price if you ask me! BTW, that horse hauler could probably be modified to a double decker!
stevasaurus 22,708 #3 Posted September 4, 2020 All of the Wheel Horse manual transmissions are the same ratio...high range for the 6 & 8 speeds and the 3 & 4 speeds. Nice horses.

(motorswaps) There was a B100 hydro.

That's what I was wondering... You got a great deal on that machine at $200. I wouldn't feel the least bit bad about that. In fact up here in the Northeast I wouldn't feel the least bit bad about TWICE that.

Retired Wrencher 5,441 #7 Posted September 5, 2020 (edited) Mike for $200 you did well. The B80 is a work horse for it`s size. Enjoy it. Edited September 5, 2020 by Retierd Wrencher
