Lambert 655 Gets a Dump Cart

Recommended Posts

D_Mac

Well I picked up this little dump cart the other day and I thought I would marry it to the Lambert. I like how the angle of the front grill kind of matches the angle on the back of the cart. Had some of the paint left over that I used on the Lambert so today I got busy. I want to make a little drop for the hitch so it sits level. Maybe find a bigger tire and taller rim for it. I should have stopped with the pin stripe and not added the Summit Racing decals but oh well, they are on there now. I know what you are thinking, why a cart when I still havent got it to move yet. I said I have taken it as far as I can. Looking to pass it on to someone who can finish it. Needs belt guides made up. Perhaps change pulley and belts. Havent found the right person yet.

Your so close!  take the time a get it figured out and running and driving right.  Sad reality is , selling it in its current condition your going to take a significant hit on it.  It will make a neat cruiser for someone.  Might want to look into selling it on some of the other garden tractor sites or ebay.  I think you saved the original engine and deck?

I know I am close. It does bother me that I cant finish it. I have tried and tried. I have said over and over that I am not a very good mechanic. I am pretty proud of my self for getting it this far but I cant pull a rabbit out of a hat. The only one I have to help me figure it out would be my cousin, and he is busy putting his 57 Chevy together. Trust me I wish I can finish it. I have many hours and some dollars trying to bring it back to its old glory. I look at it this way.... It is no better off as it sits now then how it was when I picked it up out of the field. I went and got it to save it. Saving it isnt keeping it in my garage still not moving under its own power. Looks prettier, but at this point its still yard art. I am smart enough to know I dont have the know-how, tools, or materials to get it where it needs to be. yes I have the original Lauson Tecumseh engine and its mowing deck, and its " TOOL CARRIER HITCH ". Hitch and engine are in need of repair but the deck works fine, I even painted it.
