Got this piece of wood from our CNC company at work. Lots of little and I mean little bowls . Not sure of the species but it ought to be interesting

Looks like quarter sawn sycamore to me. Here is a pic of a door frame off of my ‘Napanee’ (Hoosier) kitchen cabinet. Best I can find at this moment.

Not sure of the species but you're sure correct about that.

Most of our forest/ firewood is beech.

Burns great. Lots of BTU.

Could you glue them together and create something bigger?

Oh yeah but a few less bowls. Every now and again the CNC company here at the shop cuts and levels thick slabs at least two or three times a month for a guy.
i've seen some 4 inch or's come in about 8 to 10 feet long. Definitely forklift material.

so every now and then there are a few scraps that they throw away so I put a bug in the operators ear so I get all the scraps!!    Percs!!!

Percs are the best.  Had them before I retired.  Now my perc is not having to go to work in the morning.  Any day I can get up and not go to work is a great day.
