RandyLittrell 3,885 #6 Posted September 1, 2020 I like to scuffpad with soapy water, kinda kills 2 birds with one stone so to speak. It will make your hands clean too!! Make sure you either blow out any water out of nooks and crannies or use a heat gun. Nothing will fire you up worse than water coming out of a place it shouldn't while your painting!! I always wipe down with a solvent right before painting. I like to use a final wash made for wiping down but anything that won't leave a residue will work.
