The Tuul Crib 7,336 #1 Posted August 29, 2020 Friend of mine gave me A box of these yesterday said they were great for oil spills while changing oil or spilled oil. They are supposed to be really absorbent.

ebinmaine 67,285 #3 Posted August 29, 2020 I've seen those quite a few times. We carry them in the spill kits in the truck side drive. Also, there was many many of them here at the house when we had the oil spill. The fire department, the DEP, and the remediation company all used different variations of them. Another interesting note about them is they do NOT absorb water.

I used them to protect the paint on my truck.
Herder 2,354 #5 Posted August 29, 2020 We use them in water & wastewater facilities for oil and grease cleanup. They can be used for normal cleaning and dried for reuse. Very handy, good score.
c-series don 8,666 #6 Posted August 30, 2020 I used to use them in the bilge of my boat. They worked great, I had a slight oil leak and like everyone said they don’t absorb water. We called them bilge diapers!
