I dont think I have seen a tractor with 4 different tires on it. I am one to always try to breathe some life back into them, that being said I have seen some members use tractors in better shape as yard art. What ever you decide to do with it you will get your 20 bucks worth. I would have dragged it home too.

Personally, I wouldn't go to the trouble of putting it back together since it's that far down. If it were a horizontal shaft it would be one thing, but being a vertical shaft lawn mower it's not worth much and it isn't built heavy.

If it were nearly complete, it would be another story. It would function just fine as a lawn mower but that's about it.

Your C-175 is a far more capable machine. If any of the parts the B series has will work on the 175 and improve its condition, do that!

Vertical shaft lawn mowers like that one don’t interest the collectors. I also think that the hood and fender and most other parts won’t fit the garden tractors that most of us here collect and use, or have brought back to life or are in the process of bringing back to life.
I wish you good luck with it but me personally...I wouldn’t haul one like that home even if it was free. But that’s just me and my opinion.

The rear axle, tire, and wheels may have some value to another VS tractor  owner.    Yard art the tin.

Thanks guys I'm still learning about the brand. I figure if I can't use it for parts for something. I got a friend that likes it he loves to rebuild things like this or it might end up a planter for my wife. heck it's got good paint

I agree, some good bits there worth saving (hood, lights, axle / steering parts, rear end), but I dont think there's enough these to warent a full restore.

Just my :twocents-twocents:

WHX??

What no one notice the louvers in the hood!?!?

That right there is screaming stick a big vertical Briggs in it, some pullies for speed and lets go lawn mower racing!

Don't worry about the mismatched tires they'll get burned off.... :auto-layrubber:

Your  killing me here Richard! :laughing-rolling:

Im with @WHX24!!  The downside to a vertical shaft engine/tractor is they just arent as desirable or built as tough as the horizontal shaft machines. The UP side is, vertical shaft engines are a dime a dozen on marketplace, craigslist, etc...

Stick a big vertical shaft twin in it, swap some pulleys, and make a fun trail toy out of it! You would be amazed at what a tractor/lawnmower is capable of and just how much abuse they will take- even the lighter duty ones!
