953 nut 55,075 #4 Posted August 27, 2020 I pray that the folks in the storm's path have evacuated and are safe. So much of the Lake Charles LA and Orange TX area is very low and subject to flooding that it is bound to be bad. Even without a storm surge that much rain will cause flooding.
The Tuul Crib 7,336 #5 Posted August 27, 2020 Here in Nasville the center will be going directly over us.Tornadoes could spin off of this system and wreak havoc! l have a 100 poplar about 40 feet from the house that dances alot during storms. Hope it stays put!! my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this system everyone be safe

Pullstart 62,791 #7 Posted August 27, 2020 I hope there are no casualties that cannot be replaced, though I know the odds are low. I heard a 9’ surge is hitting the coast, plus all that rain! Michigan had a decent cell pass through the north and east side this week, West MI would be glad to get some of that rain from the storm. If only we could get it in moderation, but from another source but hurricanes...
pacer 3,168 #8 Posted August 27, 2020 Now at 9:00c and conditions are fluxuating, sudden downpours, gusty winds, then relatively calm with moderate rain and slight wind?? from looking at radar would think the worst should be past in 1-2 hrs. Power has flickered couple times but still on, but areas around me are out. rain gauge shows 3 inches at present. Luckily I can see no damage to any of the hundreds of trees I can see. As Im typing this its calm with light rain!! 1
