Seems like I remember there was a good thread about the different transmissions that came in the different model wheel horses’.Im mainly interested in the 3/4and 6/8 speeds.Which ones that where limited slip and what models they came in etc.If someone could point me in the right direction or pass along some information I would appreciate it.Yes I tried the search function and couldn’t find what I wanted :confusion-helpsos:

I'm not all that awesome at doing the searching myself. I can tell you that the limited-slip transmissions were used in the six speeds from 1967 to 1970.

These were known as 10 pinion transmissions.

Somebody else may pipe up and say there was another one or two. I'm not sure.

WHX??

This also should be in every horseman's back pocket. It gives the transmission usage for every year. @stevasaurus may have some kind of  better spread sheet. He also knows which ones are LS and so forth. Also Lowell's document on what kit of his is needed for what tranny helps a bit too.

Here is the manual you want to down load and study.  The 1st pages list the horses and what transmissions they have, and the different sections describe the different transmissions.  It's all there.  If you have any questions after looking at this, please put them back in here.  :occasion-xmas:   If I was going to type all you want to know, it would be this manual.

Go to our Manuals Section on the Main Page...find Transmissions / Manual...it is all there.

@stevasaurus thank you sir! Have run across this list a few times while wandering the interwebs, educating myself with each purchase. This time I printed it off and it will be pinned in the stable for reference:handgestures-thumbupright:
