1988SS 50 #1 Posted August 23, 2020 Thank you Mr Wheel Horse and the lengthened grader 42" blade frame. My new septic mound has too much mound at the front and the low areas in my yard were not backfilled properly by the sub contractor. The idea is to scrape off the layers of topsoil and redistribute the sand fill. If you want a job done right - - do it yourself.

You just have to follow the rules. 1. submit a detailed plan to the municipality 2. get the property and all adjacent properties surveyed. 3. create blueprints 4. apply for permits 5. hire licensed plumbers 6. complete 5-6 in progress inspections 7. flush your toilet 1

I found a large sand deposit so I scraped the topsoil towards the corn, then pushed sand into the valley and re-topped the flat ground. I am waiting for 4-5 more truckloads of sand to assist with the valley fill then will top that as well.

1988SS 50 #8 Posted August 24, 2020 Re: altering septic mound. The basic design dimensions will be at spec. The lazy subcontractor failed to fill low areas and made the slope length 32' facing the house instead of the specified 16'. Should be a slope of 4:1..they made it 8:1 In some areas topsoil was 1", other areas was 1.5' and they failed to remove stones and rocks. ........... I don't want them back - it would mean lifting patio stones and destroyed fresh lawn to get their equipment to the rear yard
