nylyon-(Admin) 7,268 #1 Posted August 22, 2020 Last time used my 416-H it felt like the seat was falling off when on a incline. I parked it since then, had a to of other high priority projects to take care of. Today I pulled it to the front of the house and 3 of the 4 bolts holding the axle to the frame we’re missing and the 4th almost fallen out. All fixed now. Pollack Pete 2,273 #5 Posted August 22, 2020 Like roadapples said...........lots of blue loctite.I have an 07 Jeep Wrangler as a fun vehicle.Driving it the other day,it started making a horrible rubbing sound from the driver side rear wheel when applying the brake.Good thing I was close to home.Crawled under it and found one caliper mounting bolt gone and the other loose.Trip to O'Riellys and 17 bucks later for a caliper bolt kit and I was back in business.I did use Loctite on both bolts.Bought the Jeep back in early March from a dealer and they had put in brakes and rotors all around.The mechanic must have forgot to tighten the bolts.Yes,I did check all the others. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Was backing down an incline while regrading the paddock at the farm when the front two seat bolts broke, allowing the seat to lean back in it's mount, which kept my foot from fully depressing the decelerator. For a minute, trying to make that thing stop, without crashing through the fence and hopping the ditch out into the road...was suddenly becoming quite the eye opener! WT...HECK is going on! rmaynard 15,427 #10 Posted August 22, 2020 When I got my 416-H, the previous owner had lost the bolts that connect the transmission to the frame and replaced them with just two 1/4" bolts and nuts, and they were loose. Maybe another reorganisation after 1986 where Toro takes Wheelhorse Brand. that be 8 years, a typical timeline for „reorganisations“ in my experience. I see in the Past on several companies they being takeover by others, they lost a part of their Quality. On such takeover’s also a lot of knowledge is mostly lost, while older guy‘s are set retired or fired, instead they keep them experienced because of their knowledge. Based on „new broom sweeps clean“, that issue here also can be seen on takeover, but the old knowledge is out of their interest. New so called „experiences Bosses“ will be installed, but their experience is just in squeeze the Company for Shareholders benefits. I seen a few of such „professionals“ in my own Working life and i regret each time, i don‘t quit that job quicker, than this idiots tilt‘s the company. So they missing in that situation, that the knowledge of the older Worker is the essence of the Brand, what helps them growing until the Status it has. Firstly in focus after takeover is allway’s the benefit for Shareholders, if it’s lucky, second is the quality of the Brand so it seeks keeped further or it‘s smashed and selled in parts.
