Upper Canada 213 #1 Posted August 22, 2020 (edited) Picked up a C195 a couple weekends ago. A lot of the wiring is brittle. My question though is regarding the spark plug wires. I pulled them out of the ignition coil and there are no terminal ends on the wire of any sort. Do the wires just press fit in there or should there be a terminal end of sort on there? pacer 3,174 #2 Posted August 22, 2020 Not real familiar with the 195 but it is quite common to see a plug wire just pushed into the coil - course usually that type set-up will have a .... boot/cap type cover there, mostly to keep moisture/dust out. If the plug wire is exposed in the coil it'll get fire OK.
squonk 41,643 #3 Posted August 22, 2020 Can you post a pic of the wire and coil? The wire should look like this. I can make you a set
Upper Canada 213 #4 Posted August 23, 2020 I ended up buying some plug wires before I saw the replies. I just pressed them in with the old dust cover boots placed on them. Tractor has spark and again. First time it has ran in over 4 years. Thanks for the offer though Squonk.
