Joe M 0 #1 Posted August 19, 2020 I have a 312-8 that has a 48 inch side discharge deck. I decided to put on a very nice condition 36 inch rear discharge deck. The belt from the mule drive to the deck is now too long. What size belt do I need to run the 36 inch deck on my 312? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

peter lena 8,721 #4 Posted August 20, 2020 welcome joe ! the drive belt swap info above will let you use that 36 " , used mine for years with no issues, take advantage if its smaller size and easy removal to regularly clean out any grass build up , r/d decks also tend to stay cleaner , with the huge discharge area . s/d decks tend to hold grass , leading to rot , without regular cleaning. question is ,why are you not using that 48" deck ? btw, tractor supply probably has the belt you want , or local belt supply shop. ask any questions that you might have , the answers are here , pete Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
