953 nut 55,324 #52 Posted April 15, 2021 The front swept axle probably added to the force applied to the too thin pivot point causing the problem. With a much wider pivot point the problem has been solved! Please take a couple minutes and do a separate thread documenting the problem and your repair. This should be posted in the https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/forum/142-instructional-threads-and-videos/ so others can find it.
Pullstart 62,916 #53 Posted April 20, 2021 Oil change day for Duke! I’m running WIX 51348 for the Kohler CH20 CH20S engine and WIX 51410 for the transmission on my 520 Xi series 520Xi. Yes, I made key words that might help with a search

I'm new to hydros and one thing I read has said to use a non detergent. The manual said "premium motor oil". I didn't know if there was a go to for the hydro system or if any 10w30 would work. In all six I ran Mobil 1 10W-30 synthetic. In the winter it flowed easier when cold, and in the summer provided better protection with the heat generated. With that said, an annual maintenance will far outlast the previous maintenance record and I’m sure any oil is better than 5 year old oil no matter the quality.
Pullstart 62,916 #59 Posted April 23, 2021 I’m adding 4.5 qts 10W30 to the transmission per the lube chart, then oil changes will be complete!

I threw some 600 grit and WD40 at the hood tonight. It needs 1000/1500, but it took the deep scratches out! The fender scratches are too deep to wet sand out.. Pullstart 62,916 #61 Posted April 19, 2023 I had a bit more caffeine this afternoon than I should have, so I’m out burning off some steam. It feels good to spend some shop time doing what I’d like, instead of what I need.

Quite the beefy look there! Is that the hydraulic pump behind the lower front bracket/bumper? How much ground clearance?

I have 6” up front, 7” from the yellow subframe on back to the tail. There’s also a skid of sorts from that front pan all the way back, as the front bracket will bolt to the subframe. I don’t plan on much off road duty with this one.
