Wheel Horse Weights Question

Going to pick up some Wheel Horse 12" weights today. I've seen them with and without notches cut for valve stems.

 

The ones I'm going to get do NOT have the notch.

 

How do these mount onto the wheels without the cut-out? Do they not seat down far enough into the rim to hit the stem? Or am I missing something here?

The stems should be on the inside of the wheel

Interesting. Never noticed that. I'm sure I've seen it, but never really stuck in my head that they were on the inside.

The notched weights fit the D series which had the stem on the outside.

Well I'll be darned, you guys are right. Stems are on the inside.

 

Picked up the weights, and they came with a set of wheels, old tires, AND chains.

 

How did I do?
