50 inch sickle bar fitment

I recently posted a 50 inch sickle bar in the classified section, it was on one of my 953's.  I had assumed, yes I know "assumed" that it would it fit any long frame Wheel Horses.  Someone has asked about the fitment between the 953 and other long frames.  Just wanted to be sure about interchanging between tractors.  Any assistance would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Pretty sure that sickle frame pictured is specific to the 953/1054 W-H frame and not interchangeable with other W-H models.

I believe Craig is correct about that, I’m sure some of the 953- 1054 gurus will be along to clarify.

The 953/1054 50 Inch Sickle Bar Mower was made just for those models as the front weldment plates with the 5 inch drive pulley is 1 inch wider than the regular Sickle Bar Mower 42 and 50 inch mowers  which can be used on other models.   

 

 

However,  all you would need to do to make the 953/1054 50 inch Sickle Bar Mower wrok on other tractor models is place a one inch board , steel plate or bushings on the side opposite of the drive pulley cluth to operate one of these on Wheel Horse model with the one inch smaller frame width.

 

The 953/1054 Wheel Horse tractors are 1 inch wider in the frame than most other Wheel Horse tractors.
