These were retagged SnoFlite sleds. In their day they weren't much.. the 399 Kohler twin was in essence a tractor engine, loud, and only rated around 22hp. I have not owned a WH sled but I have driven a few as well as the original yellow SnoFlite..

Wide track. Oddball poly track, oddball drivers. Not like some other old sleds and you could just convert to another track easy if/when something failed..
She'd be a show and occasional run piece IHMO.

They make the steering of an early 60's SkiDoo look realllly good.. the old song "Give Me 40 Acres" really does apply.

Unique piece to own.. but as a vintage sled buff, I'd be both nervous and reluctant to drive another..

That would have fit right in at last year's Big Show, snow equipment was the feature.

lol

those early snowmobiles were a challenge ... steering and suspension ... ouch !

the old Phazer is a Cadillac compared to those old sleds - and the Phazer is a dinosaur compared to the recent sleds

Nice old PZ440 there! I had an '86 PZ myself. My 'daily' ride is a 1966 SkiDoo Oly, and the 'toy' is a '78 Yamaha Exciter with some hop ups.

The WH Safari WT made old Evinrudes look nimble..

The Freightliner Guy

Phazers are awesome but I love the 1998 artic cat powder special and they are chunky boys at over 500lbs with a 132 inch track
