Do any of you guys use a small electric winch to raise and lower your plow blade ??

Does anyone know if this setup is correct seems very sloppy does that spring belong there or should  it be solid linkage that is where it seems wrong can’t find any pics of the setup. Thanks

Do you have a picture of what you're doing?

 

There should be a spring at the end of the cable so that it takes up slack when the plow stops and the cable won't break.

I never used one on a WH, but I did use a winch to raise and lower the plow on a 4 wheeler.    You do need a spring to handle the winch overrun when the plow frame hits the  tractor frame.

 

And I know this how?      Don't ask.

Was it because you did voluminous volumes of thorough research?
