jhn9840 35 #1 Posted August 6, 2020 A long time liurker here. After years of wanting a WheelHorse but not able to justify the expense, I’ve ended up with two in the last week. Both came from elderly relatives that were downsizing. One is a 1978 C-141. The other is a 1996 M12. Both run and have mower decks. Got the M12 yesterday and the C-141 last Saturday. Not had any time to play with them yet. jhn9840 John 7

jhn9840 35 #8 Posted August 6, 2020 Thanks guys. The M12 has been garage kept it's whole life. Sat unused the last three years with a full tank of gas. So I'm going to drain the system and see about cleaning out the tank as well. Neither of the back tires on the C 141 are holding air for very long. I got to look into that a little more yet. All in all not bad. I'm very pleased. jhn9840 John 3

Tractorhead 9,064 #16 Posted August 7, 2020 Uh, i forgot the to bit of maintenance is allway‘s senseful and required on each equippment that should last. but it sounds it‘s in that condition as the Picts shows. As allway‘s i like to suggest change all Oil and fluids once, to get a good running startcondition.
Pullstart 62,789 #17 Posted August 7, 2020 Congrats on the score! The Magnum 12 powered Horse should have a model number too, like 312-A or 312-8, maybe 4** series instead? Thanks for sharing your pics! 1

Thanks for sharing your pics! Thank you very much. Upon further review I believe it's a 312-8. It's got a manual 4 speed transmission with high/low range. It came with a set of manuals that I haven't had time to look at yet. jhn9840 John

jhn9840 35 #24 Posted October 11, 2020 I’ve had time to get the fuel drained and replaced with fresh in the 312-8 recently. Completed her first grass cutting job in at least 3 years. Little under 5 acres. Purred like a kitten. jhn9840 John 1
