D/C-195 56" Dozer Blade Rear Tube/Rod

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for some knowledge on the rear tube/rod for the heavy duty D-Series / C-195 Dozer Blade Frame.  I have a NOS frame & Blade, and it's missing the rear tube/rod.

Here is what I'm look for:

1.)  Rear Tube/Rod Diameter

2.)  Solid or hollow?

3.)  If Hollow, wall thickness?

4.)  Welded in place or E-Clips or something else?

5.)  Length of Tube

6.)  Anything Special about this rod that I haven't asked?

I really appreciate everyone's help with this.  I want to be prepared for winter before it arrives...lol

Thank You!!

WHX??

I would think it's just a length of 3/4 solid rod long enough to attach to the axle bracket and it would be welded in place as the IPL shows no geezus clips.  If it was NOS then why wasn't it factory welded in throws a curve ball?? Most of the axle brackets I have take a 3/4" rod.

What is the size of the hole in frame rear?

Those rods have pins so it can be moved to the front holes for the short frame tractors.

im pretty sure they are solid that back bar is. That bar on the back of the dozer blade takes alot of abuse. I am looking for a d series dozer blade myself for my 1976 d-160.

I think you are correct. In the beginning they were loose and must have started welding the rear one in when the short frame tractor models went out of vogue.

Early on the bar was part number 7701 & two hairpin cotters #933506.

Now to figure out when the change was made.

Mine are all solid 3/4" steel rounds drilled for hairpin clips outside the frame.

Agreed on the NOS part.  I wasnt sure why it was missing.  It was cheap enough I really didnt care...lol

So clips go on the outside of the frame.  Thank You!
