We had a couple of L100's on hire with pressure washer pumps - they are beasts. I think the L70 should be fine with the mower deck and bombing about the farm. I'm not sure about red here, we ran the last farm but are just worker ants here. Marie wanted a rest from management to recharge batteries for our next big project.

Chatting to a guy that has a lot of little engines and he swears by them - better than the Yanmars but not quite as good as the Honda diesel he said. It's a little small, but I am just going to put it in anyway and see what it's like. Already sold the other two engines by accident!
Handy Don 12,217 #205 Posted February 7, 2023 Here in the U.S. small engine emissions and evaporation got seriously regulated beginning in 1995. Mitigating diesel emissions on small engines was simply uneconomic so they are rare here. Of course, lots of earlier engines are still in use, but one-cylinder diesels were not that common even then. How are these small diesels regulated in the UK?
Dan.gerous 2,696 #206 Posted April 12, 2023 It's time. The C-125 is in for her new engine, I have procrastinated long enough. I also need it to mow the lawns as summer is nearly here!
Dan.gerous 2,696 #207 Posted April 12, 2023 OK progress! Old unit out, new unit sitting in place - tons of room under the hood with this compact unit. Exhaust needs re-routing. No idea how on earth I am going to hook up the electrics. No idea how on earth I am going to hook up drive pulley and electronic clutch. Should be fun figuring it all out! Will give the horse a paint next winter, just getting a new heart will be a big enough project for the moment.
ebinmaine 67,464 #208 Posted April 12, 2023 Looks like you have room for a jackshaft if needed for belt connection.

The drive shaft will be in exactly the same place as the kohler - it worked out perfectly. The engine will move forward a little yet as I haven't removed the last pesky shaker mount. 2
Dan.gerous 2,696 #210 Posted April 14, 2023 Thought I would replace the front wheel bearings while the horse is in surgery. Some animal welded one of the old bearings into the hub!! Luckily I have a few spare hubs laying about the place.
