71_Bronco 1,072 #1 Posted August 3, 2020 just curious if anybody has run knobby tires from ATVs before on their tractors. Looking at 18x9.50-8" tires, and was looking at the Carlise Super Lugs. Came across some ATV style tires, like the Carlisle "Turf Tamer", and the Carlise "knobby" which are both knobby style tires with square "knobs". I'm sure there are more out there, but these are what I was looking at. I've seen ATV style tires on WHs before, but don't think I've seen these.

RandyLittrell 3,877 #3 Posted August 4, 2020 I have some of those exact tires that I was running on my zero turn and they have too much traction for a zero turn, tear up the grass when you pivot on one tire. They would work great on a regular tractor. Randy
Vurge 158 #4 Posted August 5, 2020 I use ATV tires on a couple of my little tractors. I find that they are softer and make for an easier ride. Knobby balloon tires would be even softer than the Carlisle Trail Wolf and All Trail tires below. I've got thorns here otherwise I would have gone for the knobby. I've kept the ags on the ones used for ground engaging equipment. The red Craftsman is used to pull 100 gallon weed sprayer for the farm. The gray is used around the yard for hauling a garden cart or 50 gallon watering rig (to keep the dust down). Sorry for the lack of Wheel Horse machines. They're rare out here and my only one is still in pieces!
