Omegaomnibus 2 #1 Posted August 3, 2020 Hello folks I'm new to these wheel horses and just bought a 417a and replaced the coil and it fired right up but when I was mower it seems that the transmission lever kept creeping back thus making the tractor slow down so I would constantly have to give it a nudge forward to gain speed again. How would I fix this. Thanks
WHX?? 49,160 #2 Posted August 3, 2020 Can always use another Cheese Head around here! Whereabouts in WI are you at? You should have an Eaton 1100 in that tractor and it sounds like you just need some linkage adjustment. Under the seat and right on top of the transmission you should see a cam plate that needs cleaning and resetting. Can get you some manuals if need be. Just guessing it's an '85? Others will be along to welcome and advice.

pfrederi 17,868 #4 Posted August 3, 2020 (edited) Welcome. Clean the the area but do not lubricate it. Then tighten the nut (yellow circle) a bit. Edited August 3, 2020 by pfrederi 2
